Font <FONT> </FONT>

The Font Tag allows you to format text on your web pages.

How to set a Font Tag:

<FONT COLOR="#hexcode">

COLOR= This allows you to set the color of your text.

<FONT FACE="Arial,Verdana">

FACE= This allows you to set the Font for your text to appear in. This will only work if the desired font is installed in your visitors Computer.

Form <FORM> </FORM>

The Form Tag allows you to set up an online form, so your visitors may fill out and send you information, the information is normally sent you via email, but can also be used to add data to an online database, etc.

How to set a Form Tag:

<FORM ACTION="mailto:myemail@address.com">

ACTION= This allows you to set the action that your form will perform, like in the example used above, this can be set to send you information to your email address.

<FORM METHOD="POST">

METHOD= This allows you to tell the form whether you want to POST or GET data. Post specifies that you want to send information to a server database, GET specifies that you want to get information from a server database.

Form Check Box <INPUT TYPE="CHECKBOX">

The Check Box Tag allows you to place a small box in your form that can be checked on or off. They allow you to set possible answers to questions.

How to set a Check Box Tag:

<INPUT TYPE="CHECKBOX" ALIGN="bottom">

ALIGN= This allows you to set the position of the field. The attributes used within this are, TOP, BOTTOM, MIDDLE, LEFT or RIGHT.

<INPUT TYPE="CHECKBOX" CHECKED>

CHECKED This allows you to set a box or boxes which are pre-checked by default.

<INPUT TYPE="CHECKBOX" ERROR="Enter two characters for your state only">

ERROR= This allows you to set an error message for each field.

<INPUT TYPE="CHECKBOX" NAME="my form">

NAME= This allows you to set the name of your form.

<INPUT TYPE="CHECKBOX" VALUE="Yes">

VALUE= This allows you to set which value is returned if the box is checked.

Form Input Hidden <INPUT TYPE="HIDDEN">

The Hidden Type Input Tag allows you to set a hard coded name-value pair within the form. This field is not displayed to the visitor. Both NAME and VALUE are required frields.

How to set a Hidden Type Input Tag:

<INPUT TYPE="Hidden" NAME="name here" VALUE="value here">

Form Input Image <INPUT TYPE="IMAGE">

The Input Image Tag allows you to set an image that your visitor can click on to submit the information in the form to you.

How to set a Input Image Tag:

<INPUT TYPE="IMAGE" ALIGN="top">

ALIGN= This allows you to align images and text in the same manner as you would with the <IMG> Tag. The attributes used within this are, TOP, BOTTOM, MIDDLE, LEFT or RIGHT.

<INPUT TYPE="IMAGE" NAME="name here">

NAME= This allows you to set a form name.

<INPUT TYPE="IMAGE" SRC="my.gif or my.jpg">

SRC= This allows you to set the full URL to your image you wish to display, or set an image filename.

Form Input Password <INPUT TYPE="PASSWORD">

The Input Password Tag is used to specify an entry field that you can use to have visitors enter a password in order for the form to be submitted. The password will be obscured by the use of asterisks, the NAME attribute is required in this tag.

How to set an Input Password Tag:

<INPUT TYPE="PASSWORD" NAME="name here">

NAME= This allows you to set the name of the form.

<INPUT TYPE="PASSWORD" ALIGN="bottom">

ALIGN= This allows you to align your entry field, the attributes used within this are, TOP, BOTTOM, MIDDLE, LEFT, or RIGHT.

<INPUT TYPE="PASSWORD" DISABLED">

DISABLED This allows you to display a field, but the visitor will not be able to enter information into the field.

<INPUT TYPE="PASSWORD" ERROR="no less than 5 characters">

ERROR= This allows you to set an error message for this field.

<INPUT TYPE="PASSWORD" MAXLENGTH="12">

MAXLENGTH= This allows you to set the maximum number of characters that can be entered into this field.

<INPUT TYPE="PASSWORD" SIZE="20">

SIZE= This allows you to set how wide the entry field is displayed in the visitors browser.

Form Input Radio Button <INPUT TYPE="RADIO">

The Radio Button Tag allows you to ask visitors to choose ONE option of several. You cannot select more than one radio button.

How to set a Radio Button:

<INPUT TYPE="RADIO" ALIGN="top">

ALIGN= This allows you to align your button. The attributes used within this are, TOP, BOTTOM, MIDDLE, LEFT or RIGHT.

<INPUT TYPE="RADIO" CHECKED>

CHECKED This allows you to set a radio button as a pre-selected default choice. Only one button should ever have this choice.

<INPUT TYPE="RADIO" DISABLED>

DISABLED This allows you to display a field, but the visitor will not be allowed to enter information into the field.

<INPUT TYPE="RADIO" ERROR="error message here">

ERROR= This allows you to specify an error message for this field.

<INPUT TYPE="RADIO" NAME="name here">

NAME= This allows you to set the name of the form and is required for the radio button to work properly.

<INPUT TYPE="RADIO" VALUE="Yes">

VALUE= This allows you to set what the value for the radio button is.
