Nit-Picking?
TimeWheels understands your desire to receive the best available item
for your hard-earned pay...Please note that this is already a concern of ours too.
We also purchase parts and are well aware of what is considered normal,
as far as wear or typical damages to be expected on specific used part-types.
Based on our considerable experience, we take great care to note better or worse
than average condition for any specific part, based on that specific part type.
Descriptions that include words like, good or small or minor or slight or few,
etc, needs to be considered relative to and with respect of the average condition
that a specific part is normally found.
What if I consider TimeWheels definition of Average inadequate?
Average, by definition, means that there will be some better or worse samples,
but the majority of samples will be found in a typical or average condition.
The average condition of some items may be very, very nice anyway. This of course
means the respective part is inherently safer from damage over the years.
On the other hand, some parts are much more prone to user damage. The Average
condition for such a part may be poor in almost every case. On such damage-prone parts,
the cost in time to locate the rare few that are exceptional is extremely high. This should be
kept in mind when applying an opinion of what constitutes an average condition.
