Her hometown is in Kyoto. Aside from her parents, she has an older sister named Kakita Sakura, who is currently training to be a medical officer. Her influence in martial comes from her family having a dojo at home. While Miyuki is proficient, she has yet to accomplish mastery in it. Her branch of martial arts is jujutsu, and she is learning to be accomplished in this capacity. Her way of life at home is generally peaceful and routine. Miyuki tends to read a lot on strategy at home, but for different reasons: to learn how to beat up people more effectively and efficiently. Her study in strategy and tactics include reading up classics like The Book of Five Rings by Miyamoto Musashi and Sun Tzu's Art of War. She goes to school like any other kid on Earth, has similar interests and makes friends with those of her age. She has other types of friends however, like gangsters, and tends to be streetwise as a result. Having such company, she tends to get into fights, but most of the time ending up on the winning side, with the help of her dishonorable fighting and her martial arts training. In respect of dancing, she learns to dance in a dancing school, concentrating on modern and ballet dance. She has taken dancing tests as well, being graded up to a high level and being skilled enough to dance professionally. Aside from clubbing (underaged - naughty girl), she participates in festivals as a dancer. In school, being slim and tall, she exercised regularly and had a natural affinity to things beautiful and graceful. When she was required to take up a sport just like other students, she took up jujutsu. She is fairly opinionated of things, and tends to scheme things well in-advance, which is both good and bad. Her interest in joining the military started from being inspired by Mylene Jenius, a very reputable singer on board the Macross Fleet. She isn't really a fan of Lynn Minmei, unlike her elder sister. In addition to this, other motivations to her joining the military include her curiousity in the military way of life. A friend once said to her, that the military is regimented and orderly. One quote she remembered clearly was, "There are three rules in the military. One, your boss is always right. Two, even if your boss is wrong, refer back to rule one. Three, you can break thousands of rules. Just make sure you don't get caught." Thus, unlike her comtemporaries, Miyuki pursues an intensive study of military etiquette aside from her other studies, hoping it will be of use when she needs to pull a few strings here and there (in other words, bootlicking).
