----In the beginning there was one god. A singular essence. One lonely soul amidst the great nothingness of the empty universe. Using pieces of his own soul, Belakai brought into existance beings which could share his power and ease his lonliness. Having no concept of the ideals of good and evil, knowing only of the nothingness, he created six different reflections of himself.
The first being created was Ifne, goddess of fate. Some believe that if she had been created last, the evil gods would have never been created at all, fore she controls the future and as powerful as Belakai was, even he could not escape the fate that was set before him.
The second being brought into existence was Tarquin, god of nature. As he was born he created a singular world, full of life and beauty. True paradise.
The third creation was Sarameda, goddess of truth, justice, and cosmic order. She created the sun and moon, beginning the first balance between light and dark.
Next came forth Vahlic, god of chaos, lord of evil before there ever was such a thing as evil. As the sun was eclipsed by the moon and the world was in complete darkness, Vahlic was born and the struggle between good and evil began.
Then came Ressik, god of the underworld, thought to have been created be Vahlic himself before the solar eclipse had ended. As he was brought into existance the creations of Tarquin began to die, and the world that was known as Paradise began to fade away.
As the sun finally began to shine through, the last of the great gods was created. Mephitat, god of wisdom, was brought forth so that he may bring with him the answers that would save the world of paradise back from its dying state. His answer, however, was wrapped in a riddle that baffled even the likes of Belakai.
Battles raged between the seven gods and the world of paradise was brought to the brink of destruction. In his attempt to bring himself happiness, Belakai had brought the universe into a state of chaos. Using the last of his power, Belakai imprisoned his six creations, each in a seperate tomb sealed shut with a magical bind. The six gods were burried deep in the ground where they were to lay for eternity, so that they may never bring back the chaos that had ensued since their creation. Fearing that he may make the same mistake twice, Belakai entombed himself as well.
With the gods asleep in their tombs, life on the world of paradyce was able to struggle and live on without the constant threat of godly intervention. And so they did. However, no one can escape their fate.
Not even the gods...
