Some Important Information to get you Started.Please everyone READ the intro on the index page of the Magic Manor website!! It has the basic idea of what's going on with people coming to be Ambassadors at the Magic Manor Castle, and it tells about how the bad guy started out as a man hungry for power who started bands of marauders raiding villages in all the Realms, but did it trying to make it look like the attacks were MADE by someone from another realm. In other words he started doing things like attacking a village or smaller kingdom in the Earth Realm and tried to make it look like it was the Air Realm that did the attack, to stir up trouble and turn the realms all against each other so he could conquer them all!! Now SOME but not ALL of the people in the Realms realize it is not their neighbors attacking them but someone else, and they built the Magic Manor Castle so people from the 5 Realms could join together and fight the bad guy's armies and raiders and repair the damage they did, and try to teach the people and creatures in ALL the Realms that it was NOT their neighbors who attacked them, and we have to work TOGETHER to fight the real bad guy. So there will be some creatures and characters who don't really believe the bad guy exists, and they think that all the other realms are attacking them! Please base your ideas and plots for the kingdoms on this idea, since it's already what the whole website is based on!! I made it vague enough we can be really creative and each come up with what happened to our own Kingdom and Realm, but I tried to made a basic history we need to stick with as the foundation for the whole thing, so all our stuff will work together and make sense. ALL the Players on the site will be Ambassadors send from their realm to represent that realm and help restore balance and defend the realms. People in charge of monitoring the message boards will be called Guardians, and the people in charge of each Kingdom page on the website will be the King or Queen of the Court of Air, Court of Water, etc. The idea is that each Realm has a royal Court and Courtyard at the Magic Manor Castle. If you are having trouble with the game or need help with something, please contact the King or Queen of your Court, or one of the Guardians to help you. Remember, whether you choose to play a character that is a Knight, Mage, or Noble, all are equal, just be whatever you prefer to be, even all 3 if you want, a Noble Knight studying magic to be a Mage Knight, for instance. ALL the Players will be Ambassadors from their realm, from a smaller Kingdom, or a village, sent to help unite and defend the 5 realms and restore balance to the lands. We are taking applications for Guardian duties. The duties of a Gaurdian are mainly to just keep an eye on the message boards making sure there is no swearing or people being abusive to each other if they start fighting in the boards. Tell people not to swear, and to keep it all PG rated. When we get things organized more all the Guardians will be board moderators and be able to delete offending posts. For qualifications, right now just show up here willing to help, and do your best to be a nice and responsible person! :) If someone behaves badly as a Guardian like THEY are the one swearing in the boards or causing trouble, then they will be demoted and the moderator abilities will be taken away. Also if someone changes their mind and doesn't have the time to be a Guardian they can let us know and be changed so they don't have moderator abilities anymore. |
