What happens when you cross a little post-apocalyptic mad max, a touch of the digital matrix, and a whole lotta attitude? The latest scourge in this modern world - and one of the largest threats to our technological dependence
- an anarchist group calling themselves the Trojan Underground.
These highly capable men and women blame all problems of war and society on organized government - any government that seeks to take control from the people. Finding a need to strike back, those sharing this belief banded together to sabotage any and all groups fitting such a profile. Their weapon of choice - technology. The group consists solely of volunteers who believe in the cause, all affected in one way or another by the war.
A good majority of the group are highly skilled hackers and science minded folks. Using their abilities they hack the databases of government/military facilities they come across, implanting viruses, stealing information, exploiting secrets, and draining bank accounts to fund their operation.
A subterranean outpost is rumoured to be their base of operations. While some Trojans live and work on base, many live double lives, mingling amongst the government, military, and civilians of all affiliations. These double agents are always looking for the next hit to benefit the cause, protecting current investments and sneaking viruses, etc. into systems under everyones noses. Though Trojans are seldom recognized/seen as such while off base, those living on base may sometimes be found engaging in physical attacks on smaller convoys for the goods and supplies they cant otherwise acquire on their own.
All members receive the standard $2,000/month pay as there is no formal ranking system and most money is fed back into the cause. For this group only, we will allow those of you in double agent positions to choose from receiving the monthly pay from the underground OR from your posts (other employer), but not both!
Zoid use is not allowed in this organization, as they are technologically based, not regular fighters unless absolutely necessary. In such cases as transport or battle are necessary you may carry firearms or be transported in dune buggy/jeep/truck type vehicles. An exception -may- be made only in the case that the double lifer is eligible in that other military group to pilot one. This will be decided on a case-by-case storyline basis.
As with most hacker groups, members are expected to have a hacker alias by which other members of the group would know them. Whether you choose to have a full name or use a false full name on missions is up to you.
Though an anarchist society with no formal ranking system, what organization would be successful without someone or someones calling the shots insofar as plans of action are concerned? Amongst their numbers were chosen two <name 1 & 2 **>, who act as mother and father to the cause based on their unique and incredible skills. They along with a cabinet of four other chosen equals, direct all actions against the governments, placing their brothers, sisters, and resources where they might be most useful.
