Faction Teams

Sometime in the past three thousand years, the Imperialists who owned the lands and people of Planet Zi and the Republic whose ranks were built upon the hopes and hearts of people who refused to be ruled any longer decided it was time to take up the fight once again. Since that time, they have continued back and forth with no victor, no decision over who would rule, the dictatorship or the people. And so, most of our story deals in the back and forth battles of two enemy factions, each sending in men and women to do the fighting for their cause. Under different circumstances these men and women of the factions might have been friends, may even to this day be family, but until someone or something brings resolution to this bloody era, no one will have peace.

Apart from these two battling factions are other groups and sets of groups with their own ambitions and plans. The Phoenix Wing are terrorists who steal children in the night and leave few survivors to tell the tale of their devestating village ravages. Once a mere shadow of a rumour among gossiping village elders, they are now proving to be very real, very dangerous and very elusive by those who would wish to stop them. One such group out to end their tyranny is the Wolf Dragoons. Built by a former member of the Phoenix Wings Ranks, they know just what the world is facing at the hands of these would be rulers. Those refusing to draw lines in the sand often join the Mercenary Guild, a band of warriors and citizens who will work for anyone, so long as you show the colour of your gold. The remaining folks in the room either fit into the loose tribal inspired bands of freedom fighters or unaffiliated wanderers and teams out to make a place for themselves, despite the bombshells falling down about their ears.

Joining factions or teams is generally very simple. Anyone is free to join the Empire or Republic forces. To join an internal team of the Empire or Republic, or to join the Mercenary Guild, Wolf Dragoons, or assorted other unaffiliated group, please see individual profile pages for details. Some groups have a seperate application or storyline process which requires that you take additional steps or receive clearance before joining. These groups are well worth the effort, so don't be put off by a bit of extra work - its usually intended to add to the fun!
