The Dawn of Tomorrow

The dawn will rise on a new tomorrow,

On a tomorrow that our generation will lead,

Yet how will we be prepared to lead anything

If we are supressed by our desire to deceive,

By the intense fear of truly loving someone,

By the tears that fall for no known reason,

And by the truth we all are afraid to learn.

Trust in yourself for you are the only one

Who can make a difference in this world.

If we cannot trust in ourseves, who can we trust?

Tomorrow may not be as brightor great as today,

For life may grow dull with the oncoming dusk.

Though often feared, faith in our future

Is the only choice in learning to overcome the past.

We must break the terrible curse that has been

Placed upon us, we must let the sun shine at last.

The dawn of this new brighter tomorrow lays heavily

On our shoulders, for we are the ones who will lead

All others to a brighter day, a happier life,

For we alone have the power to live, to love, to succeed.
