Welcome to your website of the Columbia South Carolina Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA)! As we join our collective voice together with the National Office, we strive to help inform, strengthen, and form friendships and associations with those that have served our great Nation in time of peace and conflict. This coming year will again be a challenge to our country, our comrades in arms, and families as they face uncertainties and unknown foes across many fronts. Our goals for this Chapter are to provide a venue for exchanging ideas, to support the objectives of the National office, to initiate support at the State level, to form new fellowships and rekindle old friendships, to promote the ideals of this country, and to ask for your help in continuing to build your Chapter. Our meeting goals are to provide programs with timely information and topics of interest on what is going on in the military, political, and economic arena and worldly conflicts, to voice support at the local, state, and national levels to help prevent any erosion of earned benefits and compensation, and a place for social exchange. The spouse's of members may join the auxiliary program and are a part of our lives and friendships, and we encourage young members of the ROTC to seek scholarships. Perhaps we need to reach out to other similar organizations with related objectives. Your Association is open to all active duty and retired military officers from all Services. Being a member at the National level is wonderful, but it isn’t enough – your support is needed at the local level too. Consider becoming Life Members – avoid getting billing statements later. We need your ideas, voice, presence, and comments on what this Chapter can do to meet your interests. This is all possible when you come to meetings, read the newsletter, and engage in social dialogue. We welcome your experience and contributions to be on the board or committee as we work through this and the coming years. We solicit your assistance in asking your fellow officer neighbors and friends to become part of this Chapter, and the National. Your recruiting efforts help us increase our influence at the many levels. Let’s all work together for your Chapter.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
