You have found the web site of your fellow officers in Columbia, SC. We have been waiting for you to find us so that we can tell you about this chapter and our members. Consistent with the new change from TROA (The Retired Officers Association) to the MOAA (Military Officers Association of America) we are expanding the scope and reach of our membership.. Unbeknownst to many of our active duty and retired comrades, the members of this chapter have been working on your behalf for many years. There is a good chance that they were working for you before you ever raised your right hand and took the oath of office. They are ready to serve again and help our active duty and retired members grow in their careers and provide the guidance, information, and resources needed to strengthen our common military objectives for today and the future for you and your families. Don't you think that it's time for you to join us and share with your fellow officers, both active duty and retired, to strengthen our common goals?
There is a chance that you will locate an old friend in our midst. But even if you don’t, I know that you will make many new ones. We are very much like you, and you are very much like us. We pulled the same duties, were gone from home about the same length of time, think pretty much the same way, and in general are much closer to you than the general population….. even if we have not physically met!
We would like you to join our ranks. You belong here with us where you will be appreciated for your knowledge, past experience, and insight into our unique way of life and heritage. You can join us as an active member and attend our meetings and social functions. You can become more active by taking a roll in the running of the chapter. Or, you can merely help by supporting us with your dues and sharing your thoughts. Either way, you have an opportunity to support the goals of MOAA which is to preserve and enhance your rights and privileges and be a positive ambassador of those who have served our nation. You will be welcome in this chapter no matter to which degree you wish to participate.
